Recollection M is a tribute to childhood memories, vague memories that take us back home to a place of comfort and nostalgia. The SS19 collection uses raw elements that connect us to our roots and remind us of the places where we belong.
A selection of Vague basics and signature pieces were also produced in parallel as a re-collection and re-design – a memory of existence and presence.
The name Maya, which is behind the letter ‘M’ in Recollection M, carries its own story to Vague’s founder and designer Anuk. Maya, grandmother to Anuk and master in the Goergian textile domain, is also her initial and most significant inspiration in design and work.
The Recollection M collection incorporates asymmetric cuts and oversize shapes to emphasize Vague’s philosophy of comfort and genderless. The entire collection is the first produced at Vague’s new atelier located in Anuk’s motherland, Georgia.
